NZCOC acknowledges the need for Maritime NZ to be both an effective and efficient regulator; we commend your efforts to keep costs under control in recent years while maintaining a high level of service. We also strongly approve of the fact that the build-up of reserves has allowed you to propose no increase on the Oil Pollution Levy.
